Jelly Nutrition has a soft but firm texture, similar to egg tofu.
It is not too firm, as this could cause sores or abrasions in the mouth.
It is not too liquid, as this may increase the risk of choking or aspiration.
Once in the mouth, it transforms from a soft, bite-sized texture (IDDSI Level 5) into a smooth, puréed texture (IDDSI Level 4).
The protein used is easy to digest and is suitable for people who have difficulty digesting lactose.
The jelly is available in fruit-based flavors, such as mango and passion fruit, using real mango and passion fruit. These fruits provide vitamins and dietary fiber, which can also help support patients’ bowel movements.
